A total of 26,426 vacancies have been announced for various posts in different departments of the Bihar government. Selection Process – BSSC Inter Level 2026

The selection is done in multiple stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Prelims) – Objective type written test (qualifying in nature)
  2. Mains Examination – Main written test (merit-based)

Salary & Pay Scale After Selection

Selected candidates are appointed in Level-2 to Level-6 of 7th Pay Commission (depending on the post).

  • Starting Basic Pay: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Level-2 to Level-6)
  • Approximate in-hand salary: ₹25,000 – ₹45,000 per month (including DA, HRA, TA)
  • Annual package: ₹4–7 lakh in starting years
  • Other benefits: Pension under NPS, medical facilities, leave travel concession, children education allowance, uniform allowance, etc.

After probation and satisfactory service, salary increases regularly with promotions.

How to Apply Online – Step-by-Step Guide

When the form is live (already started from 15 October 2025):

  1. Visit official website: bssc.bihar.gov.in
  2. Click on “Online Application for Inter Level Combined Competitive Exam 2023 (Advt. No. 02/2023)”
  3. Register with mobile number and email ID
  4. Verify OTP sent to mobile and email
  5. Fill personal details, education, category, etc.
  6. Upload scanned photo (20–50 KB) and signature (10–20 KB)
  7. Choose preferred exam centre (district)
  8. Preview the application carefully
  9. Pay fee online (if applicable)
  10. Submit the form and take printout / save confirmation page

The Prelims exam is 600 marks (150 questions × 4 marks each) with negative marking.
